The Department of the Navy in Brazil have a replica of Copenhagen’s statue of The Little Mermaid. An investigation as to how and when it got there was done by Eric Royer Stoner, and it seems it was donated to Brazil in 1960, and was placed just outside the Brazilian Navy Headquarters building.

The mermaid statue appears to be a faithful replica of the original, donated in appreciation of the courtesy of the Brazilian Navy when visiting The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen.
