There is a strong and growing trend regarding mermaids, and it is closely tied in with Ocean Conservation.
Mermaid enthusiasts and artists are in large measure also ocean conservationists, and many take a very active role in promoting this cause, and in raising awareness of the damage that has been done and is being done to our seas, and what can be done about it.
These sites – and especially the people behind them – contribute in their own way to raising awareness and to taking effective action.
I will be adding more data on each of these, and adding new sites and organizations to this list.
