Passeig de la Sirena is a tree-lined promenade next to the marina in Porto Cristo on the mediterranian island of Mallorca in Spain. In the center of the promenade is a fountain with a mermaid named Sirena Porto Cristo. map
She is unusual as far as mermaid statues go in that she has both feet and flipper-like extensions over the feet and has fin-like extensions on the side of her thighs.
She holds a clam in her right hand and is listening to a conch shell in her left hand. She was created by sculptor Pere Pujol in 1988 to replace an earlier mermaid sculpture in this location, which was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War in 1936-39.
