On the north coast of the French island Corsica is a small town called L'Île-Rousse. And just off the Promenade de la Marinella sits a lifesize bronze mermaid.
This statue was created by sculptor Gabriel Diana, and is positioned at one end of the natural harbor. map

This is one of two mermaid statues by Gabriel Diana on Corsica. Gabriel is an accomplished artist and sculptor with a wide variety of art works, some of which can be seen here. Gabriel's other mermaid sculpture is the mermaid in Bastia.
